The remainingg odds and ends from our time on easter island. A cave with old timey paintings A fantastic hike up to the crater and the remains of the village that was the base of the annual birdman competition. One man from each tripe would climb down the 1000 ft cliff, swim several km out to the island to wait for the first egg to be laid by the migrating birds. They would then tie it to their head, swim back, and climb the cliff. The leader of the tribe whose competitor was the first one back with an intact egg, would then get to be the overall leader for the next year. Only slightly less retarded than Canada's current political system. A traditional dance show. Apparently "traditional" means "high school talent show quality".
