11-11-7 to 11-11-09 - PNG - Garoka

Due to a combination of missing our bus, and an informal roadblock that closed the road we ended up hopping on a tiny plane that had just dropped off some birders and was going our way on a cargo run. The flight over the PNG landscape was stunning.
The Goroka mud men. Unlike the Huli wigmen, who still for a big part live a tradional lifestyle, the mudmen just put the show on for special occasions and tourists.
Started a fire in under a minute with no matches etc. Very impressed.

The machinery at the coffee factory was broken so they sort the individual beans by hand.
